Radcliffe Exploratory and Advanced Seminars

Exploratory and Advanced Seminars at the Radcliffe Institute are intended to convene scholars in all fields for short-term collaborations. The deadline to submit proposals for 2008–2009 has passed. The deadline for 2009–2010 proposals is April 8, 2009.

See descriptions of this year's Exploratory and Advanced Seminars.

Science at Radcliffe

The Radcliffe science program comprises a science lecture series, an annual science symposium, and a series of exploratory seminars. In addition to these, Radcliffe selects a class of leading scientists to the fellowship program each year and attracts research clusters.

The Radcliffe Quarterly's Winter 2007 issue is devoted to science at Radcliffe. Read the cover story and learn about a few of the pathbreaking scientists at the Institute. Recent science fellow, Cassandra L. Fraser RI '07, a professor of chemistry at the University of Virginia, says, "I expected a lot of the program, and that's what I'm finding here."

Research Clusters

Research clusters at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study use the Radcliffe Fellowship Program to draw together scholars to focus on particular themes. Previous cluster topics include Ethiopian creativity, interactive visualization of musical structure, unconscious prejudice and the law, immigration, randomness and computation, and cosmology and theoretical astrophysics.
